我的研究工作主要是对Ⅱ型糖尿病中的发病机制进行分子水平的研究，研究重点围绕细胞线粒体调控机制中的重要基因心磷脂酰基转移酶1与活性氧的.应激反应和线粒体的功能失活的相互联系。无论从研究的背景还是从涉及的试验来说，我都需要不断熟悉。阅读相关文献报道自然就成了我每天的必修课。同时，试验也是要进行的，分子克隆手册就是我的指导老师，商品试剂盒内附带的说明就是我的第二指导老师，整个生理系和公共的实验设备及应用软件都可以为我所用，总之实验资源自己整合，实验条件自己摸索。还好，我们实验室当时就有一个中国女孩，在我一片茫然焦头烂额之时雪中送炭帮了我不少，我至今非常感谢她。

随着对课题背景的了解和对实验环境的熟悉，我逐渐上了轨道。与国内不同，在这里，实验的强度和效率都有极其严格的要求，我只有调整自己不断适应。前年夏天的时候，我们实验室的两个课题组都进入到了中期阶段扎堆做蛋白印迹，不分昼夜轮流跑蛋白胶，很是忙碌了—阵。

那一段时间试验开展得很不顺利，我的内心也无比焦虑。一天我从细胞间出来，正逢音响里传出《天边飘过故乡的云》，费玉清优美的声音把我埋藏很久的负面情绪全部翻了出来：言语不通被误解的尴尬，文化差异带来的交流不善，实验的不顺利，投稿被拒或者面对审稿人的诸多要求……我的泪水终于流了下来。我想家了，我已经离开了祖国和亲人2年了。

这时，幸运女神似乎眷顾了我。《细胞新陈代谢》杂志来信说“大部分内容已通过”，这让我长期悬着的心终于踏实了下来。当这篇文章正式发表的时候，我心里想，我要感谢的人真的是很多很多。

纵观我在美国这两年，过得相当纠结，快乐里夹着愁思，痛苦里孕育希望。留学的生活中充满了各种复杂的感受，快快乐乐，坎坎坷坷。不过幸运的是有所收获。学习上收获的是两年的勤奋刻苦——实验技术的成熟和文章的发表;生活上收获的是珍惜、感恩、不服输、忍耐——心性的磨练。忆及于此，我想与各位共勉，惟其痛苦，才有快乐!体会过痛苦的滋味，快乐的时候就会更加享受生活。

最后，衷心祝愿那些还在国外的莘莘学子们都能够得偿所愿，不负青春。

however, as everything has two sides, there are also some disadvantages in attending a foreign university. the most serious problem is the language barrier. most of the students who are ready to go abroad do not adequate knowledge of the language spoken there. as a result, on arriving there, they will find it difficult to understand what the instructors are saying. besides, for lack of knowledge of the customs and way of life of the local people, they may run into trouble in dealing with various situations. therefore, misunderstandings often arise. furthermore, the cost of living is much higher than that in our country, so most students have to find part-tine jobs in order to help support themselves.

faced with these difficulties, many students find themselves unable to pay full attention to their studies and some students may even fail in their courses and learn little.

在异国他乡生活虽然远离亲人，但是和朋友在一起也能过得有滋有味。我们6个来自不同省份的中国学生租住在一个大house里面，平时工作比较忙，但是到周末的时候我们会在家里组织大聚餐，每个人烧一个拿手好菜，大家在一起狼吞虎咽，别看每个人在国内都是没动过锅碗瓢盆的，到了国外都能练就一手好厨艺。而且女生还可以学做烤蛋糕啊，烤曲奇啊，这些本领在国外都可以学到了。

除了中国人圈子里的自娱自乐，还要积极的融入美国社会，多和美国人交朋友才能真正体验他们的文化。所以积极开朗的性格在国外会为你赢得更多的朋友。我们的教授就经常在他家的院子里举办port luck party，就是每个参加的人都带一些自己准备的食物或酒，然后大家一般吃东西，一边交流。在这样轻松愉快的环境中，每个人都可以畅所欲言，老师教授也很随和。利用这样的活动，既可以锻炼自己的口语，又同时可以宣传中国的传统，了解西方的文化。

在美国消费水平比较低，衣物，食物都比较便宜，所以刚来美国不必要把锅碗瓢盆和一大堆换洗衣物都带来，所有的日用品消费品都可以在超市方便地买到，想要吃中国的食物也会有很多99大华类的中国超市，油盐酱醋应有尽有。如果出行比较多可以考虑买辆二手车，大概在3000到7000美金不等。考驾照也比较方便，只需要付几十美金，考一个笔试，一个路考，也不用上驾校。在美国，驾照就相当于身份证，所以有时间有精力的同学可以考一下。

在加州这个名符其实的阳光之城，每天都艳阳高照，天空格外的蓝。在工作之余，可以与国外的朋友一起体验一下他们的户外活动。我的教授非常喜欢野营，他们喜欢隔三差五地远离城市，到荒无人烟的地方去体验野外生存。我们整个课题组的同学一起翻山越岭的, 然后一起烧烤，他们还很喜欢滑雪和冲浪。虽然这些运动很有吸引力，但是我们还是要注意安全，不要轻易尝试。

美国是梦想者的天堂，要时刻牢记我们来美国的使命是什么?国家赋予我们的使命，还有我们自己的梦想。机会只给有准备的人，只有清楚自己路在何方的人才会真正体会到出国留学的意义。

大二那年，丹姐担任疯狂英语协会(以下简称狂协)第八任社长。回想起当社长的经历，丹姐的眼睛自始至终闪动着快乐的光芒。

“狂协就像是我的情人，我无时无刻不在想着能为他做点什么。为了办社团活动，双休日翘过无数双学位课，但和大家在一起，我总有无限活力。所有负责人在这么多次的磨合中，哭过笑过争吵过，但最终收获的是令人动容的友情和积极向上的精神。”丹姐回忆着在社团的好时光，笑靥如花，“既然带了狂协，我就要疯疯狂狂地带!”

那一年，丹姐带着狂协人开创了许多社团新活动：疯狂一日行，每日一语，内部演讲赛等。而也是从第八届开始，狂协每年都被评为“兰大优秀社团”，丹姐告诉我：“看着狂协发展壮大真感欣慰，那一年，感觉每一天都是阳光灿烂!”

在班里，身为学委的丹姐，工作甚是尽职较劲。“从大一到大三，我每节课必点名，管你三七二十一，上课铃响，花名册闪!”丹姐略带霸气的口吻，那种严肃认真、一本正经的学委范儿一展无遗。

毕竟是大学的课堂，来去相对自由，丹姐的执着认真很长时间内并不为人理解，“有同学说我太强悍，有的说我很装，功利心强，有男生还说我以后肯定嫁不出去呢，听到这些，心里真难受。我只是想把我喜欢的职位做好，仅此而已，能争个啥?”丹姐微笑着细数曾经他人的评价，却又不愿说太多。

“但是现在，听到最多的还是同学们对点名的怀念，这也成了独特的班级回忆吧!我还是相信，真诚对待每个人，他们终会明白的。”丹姐淡淡地说着，我却想起普希金的那句：“而那过去了的，就会成为亲切的怀恋。”
