summer can be very hot in southern taiwan where the temperature usually goes up to 32"c or more. because of the heat it is a trying experience to go to school or do anything else in a place that is not air-conditioned. also because of this i stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and only occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky.

actually i like swimming and think nothing is more refreshing than a swim. in the summer vacation that has just ended i went swimming many times with my classmates and we all had a good time. this summer vacation, however, was not spent entirely in seeking fun. as a second-year senior student i had to prepare myself for the college entrance examinations that were only a year away. in other words, i must find time to study, too. so i divided my time between work and play during the summer vacation and derived much benefit from this arrangement.

as a junior at cleveland university, i am learning about the technical side of accounting through a rigorous accounting course load. in addition, i am learning to be a team player and to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds. for example, in my marketing class, i did a group presentation on starbucks. we had one week to evaluate starbucks financial position, future opportunities, and recommend a strategy for starbucks to compete well against caribou coffee. working with group members that have conflicting opinions was quite challenging, exciting, and ultimately rewarding for me. likewise, projects that i have completed at creative solutions inc., and the cleveland municipal water district further enhanced my accounting skills as well as offered insights into different aspects of the business world. my responsibilities included bookkeeping for thousands of dollars. at finance, inc., i would also like to make a contribution by using my outstanding analytical skills and be challenged to work to my potential by working with diverse clientele. in addition, i look forward to understanding more about finance, inc role in business.

晚上，我们去了一家当地很有名的餐厅，叫做“高棉厨房”，那里的东西很好吃，还有我们自己见不到的超级大椰子。

第二天，一起床我们吃了早饭，坐上妈妈包的奔驰车，开始了在柬埔寨的游览。

首先，我们到了小吴哥，那里有很多石头宫殿，非常壮观。爸爸告诉我，这是著名的世界文化遗产。经过几百年的时间，好多房子和树都长在一起了。很多佛像都没有了头，真的好可惜。还有很多一眼望不到头的长廊，让人感觉好像进入了时空隧道。

吴哥的寺庙里，还有好多的猴子，还咬人，可凶猛了。我们接下来游览了女王宫、巴戎寺、崩密列……最后一天还坐船游览了广阔壮丽的洞里萨湖。

in the afternoon,we came to silver beach in the north sea.the sand in the bank of silver was white like silver,and just as we were on the beach we were very much in our eyes.the sand is soft under my feet,very comfortable.the beach is crowded with people.we chose a place to put things down and my mother took care of things,so i went swimming in a bathing suit with my dad.i took my father's hand and walked gingerly toward the water,which barely passed my knee,and i slowly crouched down.suddenly,a wave came,my mouth full of sea water,salty death me! i tore my father's hand and said,"i'm not swimming!" then i ran to the shore and picked up the shells.we spent an afternoon in bank of silver,and i was sunburnt."it's all right," mom said."it's good for your health."
